Our approach to safety is collaborative—Media.com and its global community work together to ensure a secure, respectful experience in real time. This commitment begins with our Community Guidelines, which carefully balance user expression with the safety of our broader community, and outline the standards of conduct expected from every member of the platform.

When we refer to harm, we mean any behavior that causes physical, emotional, social, or financial damage to individuals or society. Our guidelines serve as clear guardrails, applying to all content shared on the platform—including posts, messages, videos, and profiles. If a violation occurs, we may take corrective actions, such as content removal, restrictions on monetization features, issuing warnings, or account suspension.

In addition to behaviors as outlined in our Bullying and Harassment, Hate Speech, and Misinformation policies, the following content topics are considered sensitive, and should not be posted at all on Media.com.

1. Content that centers solely on excessive or graphic violence and gore. (Some graphic violence is context dependent, and may be deployed in certain cases, such as by journalists covering specific topics such as war.)
2. Content featuring death or extreme injury. (Some death or extreme injury is context dependent, and be deployed in certain cases, such as journalists covering specific topics such as war.)
3. Threats or attempts to inflict physical harm or death on others.
4. Threats or attempts to hack or dox others.
5. Pornographic content.
6. Posting links to pornographic websites.

Illegal Content is expressly prohibited on Media.com. While not an exhaustive list, this includes profiles and / or content dedicated to:

1. The delivery or downloading of illegal content, backlinking, SEO gaming, hacking tools, or gambling.
2. Attempts to buy, sell, trade, co-ordinate or otherwise aid users in the buying and selling of controlled substances, including high risk, non-medical, or prescription drugs.
3. Attempts to buy, sell, trade, co-ordinate or otherwise aid users in the buying and selling of weapons, including firearms, explosives and dangerous materials.
4. Offering adult content and services.
5. Lending and credit services, such as credit repair.
6. Unfair, deceptive, or abusive acts or practices such as pyramid schemes, “get rich quick” schemes framed as investment opportunities, multi-level marketing schemes.
7. Intellectual property violations, including copyright, trademark or patent infringement. These will be actioned on an individual basis according to Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA) regulations.

Lastly, our moderators may suppress content that meets our Guidelines, but is considered low quality.
